Asghar Stanikzai: They played very well. Especially, Tamim. The bowlers did not bowl to the plan which they were doing for the first two games. Our fielding was poor as well. We are really disappointed. Such a good experience against Bangladesh, we will try our best next time we are here.

Bangladesh Mashrafe Mortaza: Hopefully, it will be alright (talking about his leg). The way the team is performing, it is really delightful. Hopeful, it will continue with a lot of series coming. Once the guys get the chance, they perform. That is how teams improve.
They have been phenomenal for the last 8-10 years (talking about the senior players). I think this game will do some good to the boys. There are seven days left for the series against England, we will work hard for that one. Hopefully, we will be able to get more win for the crowd.

Man of the Match and Man of the Series Tamim Iqbal: I should have got the hundred in the first game. But end of the day, I got it in the third ODI, I am very happy. It was not the easiest wicket to bat on. I thought the ball was spinning a bit early on. The wicket was hard but it was too dry. I took my time early on and then got a hundred. Sabbir is an exciting player and whenever he is in the middle, he takes the pressure away.

Bangladesh Mashrafe: "Batting wasn't upto the mark. Wicket wasn't good like in the previous game. Wicket was on the slower side. After getting to 20 and 30, the batsmen should have went onto make it to 50 and more. 240 would have been a good score.
Bowlers did a good job with that score. He (the debutant) has been upto the mark. He batted really with the tail-enders and bowled well. We have to comeback strongly. Afghanistan played really good cricket."

Afghanistan Asghar Stanikzai: "All credit to my team. Congrats to the team board. First time, in this format, I got to fifty. Bowlers really bowled well and that's why we won this match. In the end, Najib played really well."

Man of the Match Nabi: "It's not an easy match and easy wicket. The total is low because of the pitch. Shakib bowled really well. Not satisfied with the batting line-up as we didn't finish it. Hopefully, we learn from both these matches."

Bangladesh scrape through by 7 runs but Afghanistan had their missed moments

Afghanistan Asghar Stanikzai: "Congratulations to them. They played good cricket today. Rashid and Naveen bowled really well. At one point of time, they looked like getting to 290, but we pulled things back. We played some poor shots and that cost us the game."

Bangladesh Mashrafe Mortaza: "They played really well in both departments. The catch almost cost us. Shakib and Taskin bowled really well in the end. We cannot make any excuses, we have not been up to the mark.
We could have scored 280-plus. Next match, hopefully we will do well. Rubel just came back from injury, things take time. Next match they will come up hard."

Shakib Al Hasan (Man of the Match): "We knew that this was going to be tricky as we were playing almost after a year. That is why we chose to bat. We were short by 20 runs. Spinners bowled exceptionally well today. The rule in our team is to take the game close. Tamim played really well. Those partnerships helped us score 265 runs."
