Bangladesh skipper Rahim creates history with Double Century


Mushfiqur Rahim was became the first Bangladeshi to smashed a double hundred in Tests while Nasir Hossain made a first Test Match century as the visitors got a 68 runs lead in the first Test against Sri Lanka.

Bangladesh captain Rahim hit a brilliant 200 and Hossain an inspiring 100 as Bangladesh were all out for 638, this was their highest total in 76 Test Matches, in reply to Sri Lanka's first innings total of 570 for 4 declared.

Sri Lanka reached 116 for 1 in their second innings at stumps on the day four of the Test going for a draw in Galle. Opener Tillakaratne Dilshan was unbeaten on 63 and Kumar Sangakkara not out on 49 runs.

Bangladesh who dominated the match for a second consecutive day with their fine batting display, also became only the third team after India and Pakistan to post 600 or more in a Test innings in Sri Lanka.

Rahim overnight score 152 smashed one six and 22 fours in his solid 321 ball knock. He put on a record 267 runs Partnership for the fifth wicket with Mohammad Ashraful and 106 for the next with Hossain.
