India crush England by seven wickets lead the series 2-1


Following Indian  bowlers bundled  England for 155 runs, Virat Kohli’s blowy 79 ball 77 guide  India chase the target in just 28.1 overs at the newly constructed HEC International Stadium in Ranchi on Saturday. With this seven wicket win, India take  a 2-1 lead in the five-match ODI series.

India have won the toss and decided to bowl first.  England start solidly but after opener dismissal England lose wickets in regular intervals. Joe Root was top scorer for England with 39 runs and Ian Bell and Tim Bresnan made 25 runs. Ravindra Jadeja claimed 3 for 19 in his 6.2 overs. Ishant Sharma and R Ashwin take 2 wickets each. Finally England bowled out for 155 runs in 42.2 overs.

In the chasing, India lose opener Rahane for duck, and followed by Gautam Gambhir with 33 runs. But Virat Kohli and Yuvraj Singh chased towards target without pressure. Yuvraj Singh scored 30 runs. Virat Kohli was the top scorer for India with unbeaten 77 runs and Son of Soil MS Dhoni not out on 7 runs. India chased Target 157 for 3 in 28.1 overs. Virat Kohli named for the Man of the Match award.
