South Africa right on Top after commanding Day 2 against Pakistan


South Africa seized a 411 run lead over Pakistan at the end of the 2nd  day of the first Test at the Wanderers on Saturday with seven  wickets still in hand after sent  Pakistan  for their lowest Test score of 49 runs.

Fast bowler Dale Steyn claimed  6 for 8, it was his  best bowling  figures at home, as Pakistan were all out in 29.1 overs four runs less than of their previous lowest  innings total against Australia. Phillander and Jacques Kallis take two wickets each.

Graeme Smith then determined he would not enforce the follow on and at the stumps  South Africa were 207 for 3  in their 2nd  innings.

Openers Smith and Alviro Peterson (27) put  82 runs. Graeme Smith reached his 37th Test 50 fifty  and Jacques Kallis made 7 runs. Hashim Amla unbeaten 50  and AB de Villiers (63*) then added  108 runs to take South Africa to the close.
