Darren Bravo sets up white wash victory for West Indies


West Indies sweep their ODI series against Zimbabwe 3-0 on Tuesday after building relatively heavy weather of what should have been a relaxed pursuit of 212 runs before chased their target for the loss of five wickets.

Darren Bravo's undefeated 72 runs helped the home side to victory, the left-hander batsman gain both the man of the match and man of the series awards following on his first ODI century in the first game on Friday.

Kieran Powell contributed 42 runs at the top of the order. Disciplined bowling work by the West Indies in the field had reduced Zimbabwe to 211 for 9 after the tourists chose to bat first again.

Chamu Chibhabha, extraordinarily demoted to number seven in the order, gave the innings some morality with an unbeaten 48 run, his team top score. Andre Russell, left-arm spinner Veerasammy Permaul was the most flourishing of the West Indies bowlers, taking 3 for 40 off his 10 overs spell.
