Australia finished White Wash against West Indies


Australia finished a clean sweep of the five  ODI Match  series against the West Indies, defeat them by 17 runs at the MCG on Sunday.

Adam Voges was named  man of the match with  unbeaten 112 runs  to guide  Australia get well from a bad  start and scored 274 for 5  in the fifth and final match. Opener Johnson Charles top scorer for visitors  with 100 runs  as the West Indian were all out  for 257 in 49.5 overs.

Clint McKay take  two wickets in the final  over, although West Indian . Adam Voges' terrific form renaissance this summer persistent with his Maiden ODI century. McKay and Mitch Johnson claimed three wickets.

After the West Indies  lost opener Kieran Powell for 2, a 106 runs  partnership  from Charles and Darren Bravo (33) put them in contention. The West Indians kept back pressing, with Kieron Pollard and Devon Thomas put on 42 runs  from 40 deliveries  for the 6th  wicket.

West Indian fast Bowler  Tino Best made an immediate impact when stand in captain Shane Watson played onto his stumps from the very  first ball of the match. When Best removed another opener Aaron Finch in the next over, Australia were 2 for 2.

The Australia  steadily rallied, with Shaun Marsh made  40, but were still shaky at 4 for 82 when Voges and Brad Haddin Play together. But this  pair  put on 111 runs  for the 5th  wicket before Brad  Haddin, who replaced Mathew  Wade, was removed  for 43 runs. James Faulkner made  31 runs  as he and Adam  Voges added  81 runs  in 52 balls at the end of the innings.Australia scored  100 runs  from the last 10 overs.
