The efforts of Shakib and Rahim towards the latter half of the innings

The efforts of Shakib and Rahim towards the latter half of the innings instilled a semblance of a fight in what was primarily a timid performance by Bangladesh. A 77-run loss is quite a comprehensive one. Fair to say that they were never in the chase whatsoever. Rather,
they were shoved out of the picture as soon as the Latham-Munro partnership started taking control in the first innings. The duo started off breezily after joining hands with the hosts at 158/4. From there, Latham started accelerating gradually to compile his 2nd ODI ton while Munro's fire had turned into a conflagration by the time he was done with a 61-ball 87. 155 runs were scored in the final 15 overs to power the hosts to a mammoth 341.
