Alastair Cook becomes first to score 10000 runs as an opening batsman

England captain Alastair Cook has become the first player to score 10,000 runs as an opening batsman in Test cricket.
He is the fourth player to do it from any batting position after Sachin Tendulkar (13492 at No. 4), Kumar Sangakkara (11679 at No. 3) and Rahul Dravid (10524 at No. 3).
