Shane Watson is return in Australia's squad as an opening batsman for the remaining ODI matches against the West Indies, with selectors chosen not to send him in an advance party leaving for the tour of India.
Cricket Australia Told on Monday that vice captain Watson will make his international return in the third one-dayer on Wednesday in Canberra, replacing Usman Khawaja. Australia has already won the first two matches of the five match series.
The injury prone Shane Watson has played a Sydney club game and an interstate one-dayer as he continues his return from calf muscle problems.
Cricket Australia also said on Monday that Australia's players will leave for their India tour in three groups ahead of the first of two tour matches starting from February 12 in Chennai in order to get used to to the Indian conditions. The first of four Australia-India tests is planned in Chennai from February 22-26.
