The  impressive  half century from Shaun Marsh propelled the Perth Scorchers to a greatly needed 51 runs  win over Melbourne Renegades at the WACA ground in Perth.

Shaun Marsh smashed five sixes and three fours in a wonderful 52 off 85 runs, guide  the Perth Scorchers post 3 for 187 in their 20 overs  after being sent into bat.

The Melbourne Renegades, who entered the clash unbeatable through four matches, struggled early after losing skipper Aaron Finch (8) with just 14 runs on the board.

They were ultimately dismissed for 136 runs with Ben Rohrer top scoring with 52 runs  from 33 balls.

This win moves the Perth Scorchers to a 3-2 record after five matches to keep their play-offs hopes alive.
