Defending Champions England thrash Afghanistan by 116 runs in the ICC World Twenty20 2012. Luke Wright unbeaten 99 helped England post 196 for 5. chasing a big total Afghanistan could manage only 80 runs in 17.2 overs. 

Gulbodin Naib was the top scorer for Afghanistan with 44 runs. Stuart Broad, S Patel, S Finn, Greame Swann take two wikets each.
