Kohli fashions third win for Bangalore with a fifty

NEW DELHI,  - Virat Kohli hit a stroke-filled 56 to power Royal Challengers Bangalore to a three-wicket victory against Delhi Daredevils in the Indian Premier League (IPL) on Tuesday.
The right-hander hit eight boundaries and two sixes in his 38-ball knock as the Bangalore side reached their 161-run target with three balls to spare.
Kohli, who hails from Delhi, added 82 for the second wicket with Chris Gayle (26 off 14) in just 43 balls, after they lost newly appointed Sri Lankan captain Tillakaratne Dilshan for a duck in the second ball of the innings.
Morne Morkel (3-25) picked up two wickets in the 17th over to make things interesting during the chase but the quick start allowed Bangalore's lower order batsmen to knock off the runs without much trouble.
Australian all-rounder James Hopes (54 off 43) anchored the Delhi outfit, who lost their fourth in six matches in the IPL, to take them to a challenging 160 for six after put in to bat first by Bangalore captain Daniel Vettori.
With Tuesday's loss, the Virender Sehwag-led team dropped to ninth in the 10-team league while Bangalore leapfrogged to second spot with their third win from seven matches.
