Angelo Mathews Sri Lanka's New Test and ODI Skipper


Sri Lanka Allrounder Angelo Mathews has been named Sri Lanka's Test and ODI skipper for one year. The 25-year-old has been handed over the   Mahela Jayawardene, who determined to step down at the end of Australia tour, for the forthcoming Test series against Bangladesh.

Meanwhile, Dinesh Chandimal has been selected the T20 skipper and will deputies for Mathews in Tests and ODIs. Lasith Malinga chosed as the vice captain of the T20 games.

Most of old faces have been axed from the 20 men squad, while a couple of fresh face have been called up. experienced  batsman Thilan Samarweera has been left out  along with opener Tharanga Paranavitana and wicketkeeper Prasanna Jayawardene. Spinner Ajantha Mendis, who very last played a Test in May 2011 against England, has been included.

The included are: Batsmen Ashen Silva and Kithuruwan Vithanage, seamer Dushmantha Chameera, and offspinner Tharindu Kaushal.
