Bangalore: The third edition of the Champions League Twenty20 (CLT20) got underway on Thursday with a fun-filled opening ceremony in Bangalore.
Popular hip-hop artists Jay Sean, Ludacris and Flo Rida had people dancing to their tunes to give a melodious touch to the evening that also saw captains of all the ten participating teams signing the 'Spirit of Cricket' wall.
The tournament is set to get underway on the field with the first match here on Friday between last year's semifinalists Royal Challengers Bangalore from India and runners-up Warriors from South Africa.
Other than Royal Challengers, three other IPL teams - Mumbai Indians, Chennai Super Kings and Kolkata Knight Riders - are participating in this year's edition of the CLT20.
While Chennai, Bangalore and Mumbai qualified by virtue of finishing as top three in IPL 2011, Kolkata scraped through to the main tournament after finishing as the third best team in the six-team qualifiers that concluded on September 21.
