India field depleted team for Australia one-dayers
The selectors today announced a depleted team for the three match ODI series against Australia. Sachin Tendulkar, Zaheer Khan, Harbhajan Singh and Pragyan Ojha have been rested, while Virender Sehwag, Gautam Gambhir and Ishant Sharma have been left out due to minor injuries. Other notable inclusion in the squad is R Ashwin, who had an outstanding season for Chennai Super Kings in IPL 3, and Champions League T20. Murali Vijay,is the other opener in the squad and is likely to open with Shikar Dhawan in the absence of regular openers.
Earlier Australia had also left out Ricky Ponting, Shane Watson and Mitchell Johson from their squad, to keep them fresh for the Ashes.
