India-NZ series to be telecast live in US

Mumbai: Cricket-loving public in the United States would now be able to watch India-New Zealand series 'live', following a deal between Nimbus Communications and US-based cable services provided Comcast Corporation.
The launch of the 24-hour NEO Cricket channel in the US will enable Comcast customers to watch all international and domestic cricket matches played in India 'live', a Nimbus release said.
The immediate matches that people of the US would see are India's upcoming home series of three Tests and five ODIs against New Zealand and the 2010-11 Ranji Trophy competition that has began on Monday.
"Comcast is the first cable provider to bring a 24-7 cricket offering to US cricket fans," said David Jensen, Vice President of Content Acquisition, and Comcast.
"We are bringing NEO Cricket to cricket fans around the world and this agreement marks the first step in our efforts to reach the US market," said Prasana Krishnan, Director, NEO Broadcast America, Inc.
