England in control against South Australia


Graeme Swann again impressed with another four-wicket haul

Adelaide: Graeme Swann claimed four wickets and James Anderson three as England took control on day two of its three-day match against South Australia on Friday.
Swann finished with 4-68 from 22.4 overs, Anderson 3-62 and Steve Finn 2-47 as England dismissed the home side for 221 in reply to its first innings of 288-8 declared, taking a 67-run first innings lead at Adelaide Oval.

Captain Andrew Strauss then made an unbeaten half century as England reached 94-0 by stumps to increase its overall lead to 161. Strauss was 56 not out and Alistair Cook 37 not out at close of play.
The match, which ends Saturday, is the second of three warmup matches England will play before the first test against Australia begins in Brisbane on Nov. 25.
