Opener Gautam Gambhir and fast bowler Ishant Sharma have been ruled out of India's squad for the second Test against Australia in Bangalore due to injuries in their right knees.
Left handed opening batsman Abhinav Mukund and Saurashtra quick bowler Jaidev Unadkat have been named as their replacements.
Apart from picking up three crucial wickets in the Australia second innings, Ishant was involved in a match winning patnership of 81 for the ninth wicket with VVS Laxman which was responsible for India's dramatic one wicket win in the Mohali Test.
Gambhir on the other hand who had made a comeback to the team after missing the tour of Sri Lanka had a disappointing Test with scores of 25 and 0.
