Darren Bravo sets up white wash victory for West Indies


West Indies sweep their ODI series against Zimbabwe 3-0 on Tuesday after building relatively heavy weather of what should have been a relaxed pursuit of 212 runs before chased their target for the loss of five wickets.

Darren Bravo's undefeated 72 runs helped the home side to victory, the left-hander batsman gain both the man of the match and man of the series awards following on his first ODI century in the first game on Friday.

Kieran Powell contributed 42 runs at the top of the order. Disciplined bowling work by the West Indies in the field had reduced Zimbabwe to 211 for 9 after the tourists chose to bat first again.

Chamu Chibhabha, extraordinarily demoted to number seven in the order, gave the innings some morality with an unbeaten 48 run, his team top score. Andre Russell, left-arm spinner Veerasammy Permaul was the most flourishing of the West Indies bowlers, taking 3 for 40 off his 10 overs spell.

India thrash Australia by eight wickets in the First Test and lead the series 1-0


Sachin Tendulkar smashed two sixes from his first two balls to guide deliver a quick kill as India crush Australia by eight wickets on Tuesday in the first Test at Chennai.

India scored 50 for 2 from 11.3 overs before lunch on the 5th day of play chasing a needed 50 runs to win. Tendulkar was undefeated on 13 from 10 deliveries with Cheteshwar Pujara not out on 8.

James Pattinson dismissed Murali Vijay  for six runs and Virender Sehwag was caught at slip off the bowling of Nathan Lyon at 19 runs. Australia resumed on day five at 232 for 9 and were all out for 241 with a lead of 49 runs.

Nathan Lyon was caught at short leg for 11 runs after put on 66 runs in 85 minutes for the 10th wicket with debut player Moises Henriques was unbeaten on 81 runs.

Ravichandran Ashwin grabbed 5 for 95 after his seven wicket haul in Australia's first innings. Spinners Harbhajan Singh (2 for 55) and Ravindra Jadeja (3 for 72) were the other wicket takers. MS Dhoni named Man of the Match award for his brilliant 224 knock.

The second Test of the four match series starts in Hyderabad on Saturday.

Henriques take a match into final Day India closing to win


Debutant Australia Player Moises Henriques has played a courageous hand of unbeaten 75 runs in Australia's second innings of 232 for 9 to give the visitors an overall lead of 40 runs after day four of the first Test Match against India.

Ravichandran Ashwin take 5 for 90 after his seven wicket haul in Australia's first innings. Henriques made 68 runs in Australia's first innings, has put on 57 runs for the 10th wicket with Nathan Lyon not out on 8. India allout for 572 runs skipper including MS Dhoni's brilliant knock of 224 runs.

Trailing by 192 runs on the first innings score Australia had seemed innings defeat at 175 for 9 before Lyon and Henriques fight back in a rough display.


Shane Watson made 17 runs and dismissed last ball before lunch and Ed Cowan scored 32 runs. Australia skipper Michael Clarke made century in the first innings he was dismissed for 31 runs. Harbhajan singh removed David Warner for 23 runs. Taildenders Peter Siddle (2), James Pattinson (11), Mitchell Starc (8) dismissed in quickly.

Earlier India had resumed on Day four on 515 for 8 and Dhoni added his score from 206 to 224 before becoming one of fifth wicket for fast bowler James Pattinson (5 for 96).

South Africa sweep the Test Series with 18 runs innings victory


South Africa again beat Pakistan by innings and 18 runs on Sunday and sweep the Three Test match series 3-0 the world's No.1 Test Team ended their game in style.

Pakistan bowled out for 235 runs in their 2nd innings in the 3rd Day of the Final Test Match. South Africa scored 409 in their 2nd innings and then Pakistan bowled out for 156 runs in the first innings. Debutant fast bowler Kyle Abott claimed 29 for 7.

Dale Steyn take 4 for 80 and Kyle Abott picked up 2 for 39 in the Pakistan's 2nd Innings. South Africa are undefeated side in the 12 Test Series. South Africa No.1 Test side of the 2012-13 with away win from England and Australia and Now New Zealand 2-0 and Pakistan 3-0.

Sarfraz Ahmed and Saeed Ajmal teporarily show resistants but cannot take it for long time. Pakistan restrict 176 for 6 after lunch on Day 3.

Ahmed and Saeed Ajmal added 62 runs partnership for the seventh wicket. Imran Farhat was the top scorer for Pakistan with 43 runs. Ahmed made 40 and Saeed Ajamal scored 31. Kyle Abott named for the Man of the Match Award.

MS Dhoni unbeaten Double century put India on Top


India have in use charge of the first Test against Australia subsequent MS Dhoni's first double century which has gave the India side a first innings lead of 135 runs.

India still have two wickets in their pocket at 515 for 8 at stumps on Sunday after resumed in Chennai on 182 for 3 in reply to Australia's 1st Innings 380 runs.

MS  Dhoni smashed an undefeated 206 runs from 243 deliveries with 22 boundaries and five sixes. Nathan Lyon  Aussies most expensive bowler of the day ended day 3 with 182 for 3 from 40 overs.  Debutant tailender Bhuvenshwar Kumar contributed unbeaten 16 in a 109 runs stand for the ninth wicket.

This was a MS Dhoni's sixth century and first against Australia and came at a critical time with his side struggling at 4 for 196 runs.


The MS Dhoni shared a 128 runs stand for the fifth wicket with Virat Kohli (107) after Australia had been in a good position with India 4 for 196 when Sachin Tendulkar dismissed for 81. Fast Bowler James Pattinson claimed 4 for 89.

Kohli's 199-ball hundred, the fourth in 15 Test Matches, was his second in consecutive matches against Australia after his 116 runs in Adelaide 13 months ago.

Ravindra Jadeja (16) was dismissed by Pattinson shortly before tea. Ravi Ashwin (3) was Lyon's third wicket and debutant Moises Henriques' first wicket came when the seamer rattled the stumps of the energetic Harbhajan Singh (11) at 8 for 406.

MS Dhoni also completed his 4,000 runs in Test Carrier and India’s highest Individual score by a wicket Keeper. MS Dhoni was the first Indian Captain to score Double Century against Aussies.

Sachin Tendulkar lift India on Day 2 of the First Test


India's legendry batsman Sachin Tendulkar brilliant knock lift India after early striker from James Pattinson on Day 2 of the First Test Match against Australia at Chennai on Friday.

India ended the Day 2 with 182 for 3. Sachin Tendulkar scored unbeaten 71 runs and Virat Kohli not out on 50 remained at crease.

England crush New Zealand and clinch the series 2-1


Destructive bowling from Steven Finn and a brilliant top order batting performance  gave England a five wickets victory  over New Zealand in the final  ODI at Eden Park on Saturday to take the series 2-1.

After New Zealand were dismissed for an unchallenging 185 in an innings that ended 37 balls short of their 50 overs, England overhauled the target in a rapid 37.3 overs. The win gave England a mental boost going into the first Test Match on March 6 after before winning the T20 series 2-1.


The  early dismissal of Ian Bell for 24 runs, Alastair Cook (46) and Jonathan Trott (38). After their dismissal rapid succession, Joe Root unbeaten 28 and Eoin Morgan (39) added 56 runs for the fourth wicket before Morgan dismissed. New Zealand struggled against the pace and precision of Finn and James Anderson and were 67 for 5 after 25.

Brendon McCullum was once more the standout performer with the bat for New Zealand, smashed 79 runs from 68 deliveries. Finn at one stage had the extraordinary bowling figures of 3 for 10 off eight overs before McCullum distorted the statistics with two fours and a six in an over that leads England a quick 17 runs.

West Indies crush Zimbabwe by 156 runs in the first ODI


West Indies finished a crushing win against Zimbabwe by 156 runs in the first ODI on Friday at Grenda. After posting brilliant 337 for 4. West Indies reduced Zimbabwe to 181 for 9 in 50 overs.

West Indies were riding a hundreds from Darren Bravo (100) and Johanson Charles (130). Kieran Powell (79) and Charles put on 168 runs for the first wicket in 172 deliveries.

South Africa 334 for 6 on Day 1 against Pakistan in third Test


Hashim Amla and AB de Villiers both showed brilliant knocks in the 90's on Day 1 of the final Test Match against Pakistan on Friday.

AB de Villiers was unbeaten on 98 and Vernon Philander not out on 45 runs. South Africa scored 334 for 6 at the end of Day 1.Elected to bat first, Openers Graeme Smith (5) and Alviro Peterson (10) dismissed early.

Faf du Plessis made 29 runs. AB de Villiers and du Plessis put on 69 runs stand. AB de Villiers added 79 runs partnership with Hashim Amla. He was scored 92 runs from 128 balls missed century.

Clarke Century take Australia to 316 for 7 on Day 1


Australia Skipper Michael Clarke reached a brilliant century before close of play lead Australia to 316 for 7 on Day 1 first Test against India 

Michael Clarke unbeaten on 103 runs from 169 balls included with 11 fours and one six.

Debut Player Moises Henriques played supportive role when Aussies loss five Wickets. he made 68 runs and added 151 runs partnership for 6th wicket with Michael Clarke. Peter Siddle not out on 1 run.

Local Boy Ravichandran Ashwin showed brilliant bowling display on Day 1. He claimed 6 for 88 runs.

This century was the Michael Clarke's 23rd century.

Australia made a solid start David Warner and Ed Cowan added 64 runs for first wicket. David Warner scored 59 runs and Ed Cowan made 29. Shane Watson (28), and Mathew Wade (12) are quickly fall after lunch.

At One Stage Australia struggled 153 for 5. And then Clarke and Henriques rebuild the Innings.

Michael Clarke reached another Milestone on Day 1. He passed 7000 runs mark. Clarke became the 10th Australian Player to reach 7,000 runs Tests.

England beat New Zealand by eight wickets and level the series


The comanding Batting performance and James Anderson's five wicket haul leads eight wicket victory over New Zealand in the 2nd ODI in Napier on Wednesday.

England top orders done brilliant job for his side with fifties from Skipper Alastair Cook(78), Jonathan Trott (65) and the Young Joe root (79).

The base of the England win came James Anderson's 5 for 34.

The New Zealand made a slow start they all out 269 runs in 48.5 overs. Anderson removed Watling (7) and debut Rutherford (11) at one New Zealand struggled 22 runs after 12 overs.

Kane Williamson and Ross Taylor rebuid the innings they added 72 runs before Williamson dismissal for 33. Ross Taylor made century and Brendon McCullum scored 74 runs.

England's Ian Bell and Alasitair made a solid foundation for his team with first wicket stand of 89 runs. Trott and Joe Root work togerther for England's victory. Joe Root produce varriety of shots. 

The series deciding third ODI will starts on Saturday in Auckland.

South Africa seal the Test series after four wickets win over Pakistan in 2nd Test


South Africa resistant their position as the world's number one Test team when they beat Pakistan by four wickets on the fourth day of the 2nd  Test at Newlands on Sunday. The win  with a one day  to left, gave South Africa a win and  2-0 lead in the three  match Test  series and came after a spectacular Pakistan collapse in their second innings.

It was the South Africa's fifth consecutive Test Match victory, their sixth consecutive series win  and extended their unbeaten run in Tests to 14 matches going away back more than a year. Pakistan were all out for 169 runs after preliminary the day on a moderately comfortable 100 for 3.

They lost their final six wickets for 22 runs either side of lunch. At one stage four wickets falls  in 13 deliveries. The collapse was made by man of the match, left-arm spinner Robin Peterson, and opening bowler Vernon Philander claimed three wickets each before Dale Steyn ended off the innings.


Peterson completed with 3 for 73 and Philander followed up his 1st  innings 5 for 59 by take 4 for 40. Pakistan off-spinner Saeed Ajmal claimed 4 for 51 during South Africa's run chase to end with match figures of 10 for 147 runs.

Chasing the target of 182 runs to win, South Africa lost Alviro Petersen for  10 runs into their chase. Smith and Hashim Amla  added  53 runs for the second wicket before Smith was leg before to Saeed Ajmal for 29 runs soon before tea. Ajmal  dismissed Jacques Kallis for 21 runs.

Hashim Amla (58) and De Villiers (36) joint a speedy 62 runs stand for the 4th wicket. Peterson bowled Sarfraz Ahmed with the final  ball of the next over.  Vernon Philander then removed by Azhar Ali, who made a patient 65 runs.

McCullum, Guptill stars as New Zealand win over England in the first ODI


Skipper  Brendon McCullum lead New Zealand to a spectacular three wicket victory  over England with brave support from an injured Martin Guptill in the ODI  in Hamilton on Sunday.

The match looked beyond New Zealand's grip when they were restrict  to 218 for 7  as they chased down  England's 258 all out. With two players injured, New Zealand required  41 runs from  25 deliveries  with successfully one wicket in hand.

Martin  Guptill  had earlier retired hurt  with a hamstring strain when he made  three runs to his name, hobbled out of the burrow to provide a significant boost. Guptill ended on 27 runs  24 of his runs came  from the 10 deliveries he faced on his return to the crease.

McCullum, who pulled New Zealand into conflict after they slipped well behind the necessary run rate in the early stages of their innings, he  was scored  unbeaten on 69 runs from  61 balls. The win was New Zealand's fifth successive ODI win over England and put them 1-0 lead  in the three match series.

England, sent into bat first, formed a carefully crafted start to their innings and were floating for a final onslaught when they reached 220 for 4  in the 44th over.

After the early dismissal  of Cook, Bell and Trott added  84 runs  for the second wicket in their first innings of the tour before Bell dismissed  for 64 runs . Trott improved from a slow start to scored  68 runs  before he was bowled by Kyle Mills after put on 89 runs  with Root for the 3rd  wicket. Root made  56 runs.

Left -arm fast bowler  Mitchell McClenaghan, who take  4 for 56. Franklin was the second finest of the New Zealand bowlers with 3  for 38 while Kyle Mills got 2 for 32. Woakes was the mainly flourishing of the England bowlers claimed  2 for 52 and joint with Ian Bell to run out Williamson. The second match in the series will starts  in Napier on Wednesday.

South Africa come back well Second Test evenly poised on Day3


Robin Peterson and Dale Steyn leads a South African come back  which missing the second Test against Pakistan equally poised at the end of the Day 3 at Newlands  Saturday. Pakistan were 100 for 3 in their second innings at the Stumps, Pakistan lead by  112 runs.

Peterson smashed  84 runs  to allow South Africa to get inside 12 runs of visitors 1st  innings total of 338 runs  and Dale Steyn bowled well  to claimed  two wickets as Pakistan lost their first three  wickets for just  45 runs. At this  stage South Africa were faintly on top but Azhar Ali and skipper Misbah-ul-Haq joint a largely watchful unbeaten stand  of 55 runs .

South Africa were held back by a reappearance of a hamstring injury to Morne Morkel, who left out  field after bowling one ball in his 2nd  spell.  Peterson guided  a belligerent performance by South Africa's lower order batsmen as they improved from an overnight 139 for 5 and ended with 326 all out.

Pakistan right on top against South Africa in the second Test

Pakistan Off spinner Saeed Ajmal  claimed  all five wickets as Pakistan ended on top on a divisive second day of the second Test against South Africa at Newlands on Friday. South Africa were under pressure at 139 for 5 at the end of Day 2, still 199 runs behind Pakistan's first innings of 338 runs  after Saeed  Ajmal had completed with 5 for 41.

Three of Ajmal's wickets came after the use of the UDRS, including a controversial dismissal of celebrity South African batsman Jacques Kallis. This  was a creative day for Saeed Ajmal, was guided  fellow tailender Tanvir Ahmed added  64 runs  for the ninth wicket partnership  to take Pakistan at ease past the 300 mark.

Their ultimate total looked  unlikely when Vernon Philander take  three wickets in his first three overs to restrict  the Pakistan  to 268 for 8. Faf du Plessis top scorer  for South Africa's  with  28 runs. AB de Villiers and Dean Elgar survived at the crease.


Pakistan batted until resumed  at 253 for 5, even though Philander's early wickets  the home side's hopes of covering up the innings quickly. Philander claimed  5 for 59, This was his ninth five wicket haul in Test Cricket.

Hales, Lumb stars as England thrash New Zealand by 10 wickets and won the series 2-1


Alex Hales showed  a brilliant batting  as England command  New Zealand with both bat and ball to compete to a 10 wickets victory  in the three match Twenty20  series  in Wellington on Friday.

The  heavy defeat  in the second game  in Hamilton on Tuesday, England fight  back to control  New Zealand to 139 for 8  after sending the hosts  side  into bat, with Stuart Broad and Jade Dernbach claimed  three wickets each. Hales and Michael Lumb then dismantled the New Zealand bowling  attack to finished the 140 runs chase in just 12.4 overs .

Alex Hales made  80 from  42 deliveries with  four sixes and nine fours, while Michael Lumb smashed  53 off 34 balls, sending the ball onto the roof of Westpac Stadium to brought up  the winning runs with his fifth maximum.

Opener Martin Guptill (59) top scorer  for New Zealand but the New Zealand. He scored  59 off 55 deliveries  and looked aggressive in the latter stages of the innings before Broad removed  him for his third wicket. New Zealand will now seem to rearrange themselves  before the first ODI  in Hamilton on Sunday.

Younis Khan and Shafiq save Pakistan on Day 1 against South Africa


Hundreds  from  Younis Khan and Asad Shafiq changed Pakistan's fortunes on the first day of the 2nd  Test against South Africa at Newlands on Thursday. Pakistan were 253 for 5 at the end of the Day, having been struggled  at 33 for 4 after being sent in.

Younis  removed by  Vernon Philander 13 deliveries before the close for 111 runs, while Shafiq was also not out  on 111 runs. This  pair added  219 runs  record partnership for any wicket by Pakistan against South Africa.

This  was a outstanding turnaround after the South African pace  bowlers dismissed  their top order early on in the day. Morne Morkel claimed  two wickets and Philander and Dale Steyn take  one wicket  each.

Younis finished  his 21st Test ton it was his fourth against South Africa  after facing 192 balls and hitted six fours and three sixes. The solid Shafiq  scored  his third Test century  off 201 deliveries  with 13 fours and a six. Opening batsmen Mohammad Hafeez and Nasir Jamshed started carefully, scoring just ten runs before the left handed Jamshed was dismissed by  Philander for three.

Hafeez edged Steyn at  first slip after made 17 runs  before the tall Morkel got  two wickets in that over, having Azhar Ali caught at the back attempt an excessive drive before Pakistan skipper Misbah-ul-Haq for duck.

Angelo Mathews Sri Lanka's New Test and ODI Skipper


Sri Lanka Allrounder Angelo Mathews has been named Sri Lanka's Test and ODI skipper for one year. The 25-year-old has been handed over the   Mahela Jayawardene, who determined to step down at the end of Australia tour, for the forthcoming Test series against Bangladesh.

Meanwhile, Dinesh Chandimal has been selected the T20 skipper and will deputies for Mathews in Tests and ODIs. Lasith Malinga chosed as the vice captain of the T20 games.

West India ended tour with Twenty20 win against Australia

Jos Buttler created a cameo of 54 runs  but established little help as England were all out  for 137 runs  in 19.3 overs. England had won the first game  at Eden Park in Auckland on Saturday by 40 runs.

New Zealand  openers Hamish Rutherford and Martin Guptill set aside the run rate above nine before R catch to Buttler off Luke Wright for 40 runs  to leave the home side  well placed at 75 for 1 in the ninth over.  Guptill (47), Ross Taylor (4) and Colin Munro (7) all fell when they unsuccessful to pick slower deliveries and lofted untimely shots into the deep. Australia finished White Wash against West Indies


Australia finished a clean sweep of the five  ODI Match  series against the West Indies, defeat them by 17 runs at the MCG on Sunday.

Adam Voges was named  man of the match with  unbeaten 112 runs  to guide  Australia get well from a bad  start and scored 274 for 5  in the fifth and final match. Opener Johnson Charles top scorer for visitors  with 100 runs  as the West Indian were all out  for 257 in 49.5 overs.

Clint McKay take  two wickets in the final  over, although West Indian . Adam Voges' terrific form renaissance this summer persistent with his Maiden ODI century. McKay and Mitch Johnson claimed three wickets.

After the West Indies  lost opener Kieran Powell for 2, a 106 runs  partnership  from Charles and Darren Bravo (33) put them in contention. The West Indians kept back pressing, with Kieron Pollard and Devon Thomas put on 42 runs  from 40 deliveries  for the 6th  wicket.

West Indian fast Bowler  Tino Best made an immediate impact when stand in captain Shane Watson played onto his stumps from the very  first ball of the match. When Best removed another opener Aaron Finch in the next over, Australia were 2 for 2.

The Australia  steadily rallied, with Shaun Marsh made  40, but were still shaky at 4 for 82 when Voges and Brad Haddin Play together. James Faulkner made  31 runs  as he and Adam  Voges added  81 runs  in 52 balls at the end of the innings.Australia scored  100 runs  from the last 10 overs.

Gambhir dropped, Dhawan, Harbhajan included in India Squad for Australia Test Series


Gautam Gambhir was dropped for the 1st  two Test matches against Australia at the same time as Shikhar Dhawan and Murali Vijay were named in the 15 man India  squad. 

Apart from Dhawan, he  received his first  Test call up, Uttar Pradesh fast bowler  Bhuvneshwar Kumar was satisfied for his good quality presentation in the recent limited over matches  against Pakistan and England with a place in the Indian Test side for the first time. 

Gambhir, who was dropped  after a sequence of poor performances, will now skipper the India A side in the 3 day practice match against Australia on February 16. 

Virender Sehwag, who has been specified an extended run, might play in the middle order in case India make a decision to open with Vijay and Dhawan while Ajinkya Rahane and Ravindra Jadeja will also be vying for a place in the middle order. 

Harbhajan Singh,  was left out  for the third and fourth Tests against England, makes his way back to the Indian team while Piyush Chawla does not get a place. R Ashwin and Pragyan Ojha are the other spinners in the line up.

All Round England take 40 runs win over New Zealand


Luke Wright produced  with bat and ball while skipper Stuart Broad claimed  four wickets as England eased to a 40 run win  over New Zealand in their 1st  Twenty20 Match at  Auckland on Saturday.

All rounder Luke  Wright's  42 off 20  included with  three fours and four sixes as England's power full batting line up made  214 for 7, their highest ever  total in a T20 format.

The  Luke  Wright then produced enormous pressure on New Zealand's batsmen as he bowled quite a lot of dot balls that forced the New Zealand  to take risks, one of which resulted in Martin Guptill hitted  the ball straight to Stuart  Broad at mid off for 44 runs. Broad then chipped in with two wickets in the 15th over, dismissed  James Franklin (8) and Colin Munro (28) to make sure England's total was well out of reach.

Stuart Broad ended with 4 for 24, his best ever T20  figures, while Luke Wright take  2 for 29 and put on  a catch as New Zealand scored  174 for 9  in their 20 overs. The maximum total for sixes in a Twenty20  was the 24 hit by New Zealand and India at  Christchurch 2009, a feat duplicated by Australia and India at  Bridgetown a year later.

Eoin Morgan was  top scorer  for England with 46 off 26 deliveries  and joined  with Jonny Bairstow (38) in a 81 runs  partnership in just  7.1 overs as England looked  set for a total in excess of 230 runs  on the board  until the partnership  was broken.

Sachin made century in Irani Cup and leveled the Gavaskar Record in First Class Cricket


Sachin Tendulkar equals with Sunil Gavaskar an record 81 first class centuries and also reached 25,000 first class runs in the on going Irani Cup against Rest Of India on Friday.

This was the Sachin's 2nd hundred in Iran Cup the first was came from almost 23 years ago. He scored unbeaten 103 runs against Delhi during 1989-90.

Tendulkar good form in current domestic season. This will be very good news for Indian Team ahead for Test series against Aussies starts from 22 Feburary on Friday.

Australia gain another win against West Indies in 4th ODI


Australia stay on way for a crushing series clean sweep after coasting to a five wicket win  over the West Indies at the Sydney  on Friday.

After the West Indies  passed to 220 runs  credit mainly goes  to an unbeaten hundred  from Kieron Pollard, Australia's win  never looked in doubt as opener Shane Watson (76) top scorer to set the platform for the chase.

Wicketkeeper Matthew Wade (13) and all-rounder Glenn Maxwell (4) were the unbeaten batsmen as the Aussies  side won with 31 deliveries left. Australia made a blazing start to their chase with Watson and Aaron Finch added on 53 runs  for the 1st  wicket until the last was trapped in front by Sunil Narine (2 for 34) for 25 runs.

The in-form Phillip Hughes (23) contribute a 63 runs  Partnership  with Shane  Watson .Adam Voges made 28, a late enclosure for the injured George Bailey , and Michael Clarke (37) both made tough contributions, with the captain removed  just before Australia reached their winning runs.  Earlier, West Indies made a terrible start to their innings struggling to 6 for 55 inside the first 20 overs.

Top order batsman Johnson Charles (0), Kieran Powell (9) and Darren Bravo (4) were all back in the pavilion in eight overs as they cut down victim to a firing Mitchell Johnson (3 for 36). Ben Cutting, playing just his 2nd  ODI, also caused havoc and ended with 3 for 45 at one stage it looked like the visitors  would be lucky to get to triple figures.

 Aggressive   knock from all-rounder Pollard, who ended unbeaten on 109 runs, and brave resistance from the West Indies' lower order got them to a viable target. Skipper Darren Sammy (25), and tailenders Andre Russell (18) and Sunil Narine (23) all made precious offerings to ensure the West Indies got over 200.

The Pollard  smashed  11 fours and 2 sixes in his 136 ball knock. Sammy's West Indies side  will now require to win the final match  in Melbourne on Sunday to avoid an upsetting 5-0 series defeat.

Aussies claimed series as Shane Watson returns with bang


Shane Watson's hundred  on his international return lead Australia to a 39 runs win  over the West Indies, This  sees the Aussies  side take an 3-0 lead in the Five match ODI Series.
